What is the difference between the various types of karting brake rotors?

A rotor’s design depends on the braking system for which it is intended. ITAKAshop offers, in particular, vented front and rear discs, as well as a mechanical rear disc, designed for various kart configurations.

Ventilation or surface machining can help manage heat and residue generated during braking. However, the choice should not be based solely on this criterion: above all, the disc must be compatible with the caliper, the disc holder, and the intended mounting on your chassis.

What size brake disc should I choose for my kart?

The diameter and thickness of the disc must match the specifications for your chassis and braking system. You must also take into account the mounting configuration, the disc holder, and the caliper used.
